Vision
The vision of the Faculty of Philosophy (FF) is:
A humanistic academic community that cultivates individuals who are virtuous, knowledgeable, and cultured, with both local and universal perspectives.
FF strives to provide education that helps shape individuals who are rational and wise (virtuous). Students are equipped with adequate knowledge (knowledgeable) and an understanding of life’s higher values, enabling them to engage with society in a dignified and meaningful way (cultured). To realize this vision, the Faculty has formulated its Mission and Objectives.
Mission
The mission of FF is based on the three pillars of higher education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi):
- Delivering academic education designed around the interaction of creativity, sensibility, faith, and interdisciplinary engagement.
- Conducting research focused on developing analytical expertise, conceptual depth, and writing skills, to disseminate reflective and critical thinking within society.
- Serving the needs and challenges present in the life of the nation.
Objectives
- To cultivate academic individuals capable of bringing enlightenment to others in their engagement with values and the meaning of life.
- To guide prospective graduates who possess intellectual and spiritual abilities to address issues within Indonesian society.
- To nurture future religious leaders, spiritual educators, theologians, philosophers, cultural figures, and art practitioners who embody humanistic, pluralistic, and altruistic values.
