Profile

Born on Nias Island, North Sumatra on April 4, 1976. He is an ordained priest of the Order of the Holy Cross (Ordo Salib Suci – OSC) who completed his doctoral program in 2013 major in Cultural Anthropology. He has been teaching at UNPAR since 2013 and has been a permanent lecturer. He has also served as Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, UNPAR, since October 2024. Previously, he served as head of the CPCReS (Center for Philosophy, Culture, and Religious Studies) at the Faculty of Philosophy, UNPAR. In addition, he also teaches Catholic Religion and Ethics at ITB, Bandung Health Polytechnic (Poltekkes Bandung), and is a guest lecturer at several universities in Bandung. He is also a researcher and speaker at various seminars. The books he has published include “Ci, Gender, and Social Change among the Asmat of Papua, Indonesia” published by Sidestone Press, Leiden, The Nederlands (2020) and “Pijakan Rapuh: Antara Idealisme Adat dan Realitas Kemiskinan di Nias” published by UNPAR Press, Bandung (2021).
