Profile
Sophan Ajie (Ajie) is a lecturer and art performer with an interest in the study of contemporary culture and the performing arts. Undergraduate and master’s education is pursued at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Padjadjaran University. Then, he won a scholarship from the Arsari Djojohadikusumo Foundation to continue his doctoral program in cultural studies (Arts and Society Studies) at Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta. The influence of pre-independence and contemporary Indonesian artists & philosophers formed a unique and unusual way of thinking. He was once the initiator of the Bandung Independent Film Festival. Active director and scriptwriter and exploration of Indonesian themes in theater, music, and literature. One of his explorations of the study of Pancasila in underground music resulted in several copyrighted works with other research teams. In addition, he actively assists humanitarian foundations with his role-playing arts approach.
