Profile
During her undergraduate studies, she developed a strong interest in philosophy of media and film, as well as issues related to popular culture, urban life, and everyday life. She has always been fascinated by the interplay between the world depicted on screen and the realities of daily life. For instance: (1) how audiences are influenced by what they watch/consume; (2) how real-world conditions shape the construction of on-screen world; (3) the relationship between city and cinema; (4) the relationship between ethics and aesthetics in film and other art forms; (5) how technology shapes the hybridity of self and digital humanity. Simultaneously, she enjoys exploring how power dynamics and conflicting values shape our understanding of everyday reality. Her activities as a film festival curator/programmer—alongside her academic life—have deepened her engagement with these themes by allowing her to interact with a wide range of works and audiences.
