Profile
Dr. Stephanus Djunatan has his major in Intercultural philosophy. He defended his dissertation titled The Principle of Affirmation, an ontological and epistemological ground of interculturality in 2011 under joint supervision of Professor Dr. Wim M.J. van Binsbergen and of Professor Dr. I. Bambang Sugiharto. He completed postdoctoral research, together with Dr. FX Rudi Setiawan in 2015 titled Epistemological Roots of Violence, an Elaboration on Violence Against Chinese Indonesia. He published this post-doc research as an article titled “Becoming Chinese Indonesians: An Affirmative Approach to Social Identity“ in the festschrift proceeding of Professor Wim van Binsbergen, titled A Transcontinental Career, Essay in Honour of Wim van Binsbergen, edited by Pius M. Mosima, in 2018. He also wrote some philosophical articles on Sudanese Culture and published them in several accredited national journals.
