Vision, Mission, Objectives, and Strategies of the CPCReS Research Center
The Vision, Mission, Objectives, and Strategies (VMTS) of the CPCReS Research Center are derived from the VMTS of the University and the Educational Unit Managing Program (UPPS), in this case, the Faculty of Philosophy of UNPAR.
Vision and Mission of the Research Center
Vision:
An academic human community that nurtures individuals of virtue, knowledge, and culture with both local and universal insight, especially through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—Research and Community Service—in the fields of Philosophy, Theology, Humanities, and Arts.
Mission:
Based on the pillars of the Tri Dharma—Research and Community Service—and as a realization of the Research Center’s Vision, its missions can be described as follows:
- To conduct research activities focused on developing analytical expertise, conceptual depth, and writing skills, in order to promote reflective and critical thinking within society;
- To dedicate itself to addressing the needs and challenges faced by the nation and the Church.
Objectives and Strategies of the Research Center
Based on the above Vision and Mission, the Research Center formulates the following Objectives of the CPCReS Research Center:
a) To foster academic individuals capable of bringing enlightenment to others in their search for values and the meaning of life;
b) To nurture scholars who possess intellectual and spiritual capacities in engaging with issues of Indonesian society and universal concerns.
After formulating these Objectives, the Research Center established strategies to achieve them and to realize its vision and mission. The strategies are as follows:
- Enhancing the quality of faculty and student publications in nationally and internationally accredited and reputable journals;
- Improving the quality of faculty research and community service records;
- Increasing the quality and quantity of research conducted by faculty and students;
- Increasing the quality and quantity of community service activities conducted by faculty and students;
- Strengthening collaboration with various stakeholders in the fields of research and community service;
- Improving the structured and accountable management of the Research Center.
The CPCReS Research Center’s strategies are then translated into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the areas of research and community service.
1. Research Performance Indicators
The Key Performance Indicators for research are established based on the University’s Strategic Plan (Renstra) and the Decrees of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 3/M/2021 and No. 210/M/2023 concerning Key Performance Indicators for Higher Education Institutions and Higher Education Service Institutions under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, as outlined below:
- The number and quality of studies resulting from interdisciplinary collaboration, the quality of faculty publications, the quality of public forums, and the achievement of recognition (IAK-10, IAK-11, IAK-12, IKU-5 Kemendikbud Ristek);
- Fulfillment of national quality standards related to research (IAK-14), particularly regarding student involvement in joint research with faculty;
- Availability of research funding that supports faculty research activities.
2. Community Service Performance Indicators
The Key Performance Indicators for community service are established based on the University’s Strategic Plan (RPJM 2019–2023) and the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 210/M/2023 concerning Key Performance Indicators for Higher Education Institutions and Higher Education Service Institutions under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, as outlined below:
- The variety and effectiveness of collaborations in community service activities (IAK-09);
- The improvement in the quality of Tri Dharma community service activities conducted by faculty involving students and collaborative partners (IKU-3, IKU-2 Dikti Ristek);
- The number and quality of community service studies in the form of interdisciplinary collaborations, the quality of faculty publications and public forums, and the achievement of recognition (IAK-10, IAK-11, IAK-12, IKU-5 Kemendikbud Ristek);
- Availability of community service funding that supports faculty and student community service activities.
