Extension Course

The Extension Course of the Faculty of Philosophy has its roots in activities that began in 2004. This non-profit program embodies the Tri Dharma mandate of higher education, which includes teaching, research, and community service. Since 2020, the program has been conducted hybrid, allowing participants from across Indonesia and internationally to join.

The program aims to deepen participants’ understanding of contemporary socio-cultural and human phenomena in Indonesia and global civilization. It addresses key themes related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and adopts an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating philosophy, theology, culture, art, and humanity, as well as science and technology.

The program runs once a year, consisting of 12-14 sessions, with each field of study (philosophy, theology, cultural studies, social humanity, and art) having three sessions. The structure is designed to mimic a semester-long learning period.
