Seminar I (Research Proposal Seminar)
At the beginning of thesis preparation, students are required to present their thesis research plan in the Research Proposal Seminar (Seminar I). In this seminar, the research problem and the chosen method are commented on/criticized by the thesis committee so that students can improve their research design.
The content of the Research Proposal includes the research problem and its background, research objectives and significance, research methodology, bibliography, and thesis completion schedule. If data collection instruments such as questionnaires are to be used, the questionnaire must be attached and discussed.
Seminar II (Research Results Seminar)
After the thesis research is completed and the interim report (thesis draft) is ready, students must present their research report in the Research Results Seminar (Seminar II). In this seminar, the thesis committee focuses on the depth of analysis and the alignment between the research problem, the chosen method, research findings, conclusions, and recommendations. The outcome of the seminar is a statement from the thesis committee regarding whether or not the research results are eligible to be submitted for the Thesis Defense. If the thesis committee considers that the thesis results do not yet meet the requirements, students must revise them until the committee approves them for defense.
